Gintoki, Shinpachi y Kagura vuelven como los divertidos pero arruinados miembros del equipo Yorozuya. Viviendo en un Edo de realidad alternativa, donde las espadas están prohibidas y los señores alienígenas han conquistado Japón, intentan prosperar haciendo cualquier trabajo que puedan conseguir. Sin embargo, Shinpachi y Kagura aún no han cobrado... ¿Realmente Gin-chan se gasta todo ese dinero jugando al pachinko? Mientras tanto, cuando Gintoki se tambalea una noche en su casa, una nave espacial alienígena se estrella en las cercanías. Un miembro de la tripulación, herido de muerte, sale de la nave y le entrega a Gintoki un extraño dispositivo con forma de reloj, advirtiéndole que es increíblemente poderoso y que debe ser protegido.
