Islas a la deriva
Publicada por primera vez en 1970, nueve años después de la muerte del autor, Islas a la deriva cuenta la historia de un artista y aventurero, Thomas Hudson, cuya personalidad recuerda mucho a la del propio Hemingway. La novela arranca en 1930 con las experiencias del protagonista como pintor en la isla de Bimini, situada en plena corriente del Golfo, para detenerse en sus actividades antisubmarino cerca de la costa de Cuba durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial. En esta novela póstuma, cuyo manuscrito dejó en Cuba, encontramos lo mejor de la madurez de Hemingway. «Esta carta es para hablarle de un hombre joven que se llama Ernest Hemingway, que vive en París, escribe para la Transatlantic Review y tiene un brillante futuro...
