El intocable
Victor Maskell, homosexual y esteta, es un eminente historiador del arte, experto en Pussin y conservador de la colección de pinturas de la reina de Inglaterra, y también fue un topo de los rusos infiltrado en el corazón del establishment británico. Ahora acaba de ser públicamente expuesto como un traidor en la Cámara de los Comunes y se dispone a enfrentarse a la humillación pública o simplemente a soportarla, convertido para siempre en un paria, un «intocable». Pero ya es un hombre viejo, y en un último acto de desvelamiento, o quizás de suprema venganza, decide escribir sus memorias.
