The protagonist, an army doctor, veteran of the Special Military Operation, and the sole survivor after his unit's frontline engagement, travels to a see the wife of his fallen comrade in a remote village on the Caspian Sea and pay his respects to the family. Suffering from severe PTSD after an explosion, he is undergoing a hard recovery, uncertain of his future. Tortured by pain and loss, he finds solace in the widow of the heroic major, who has also lost her sense of purpose. An unexpected love blossoms between them, which brings him back to life.
