Following on from the novel Single-Handed, Beckford has crossed the Atlantic on his round-the-world voyage, and Thurston joins him in the Caribbean. But their plans for a pleasure cruise are interrupted firstly by a hurricane, then by the return of old friends in the shape of HM Customs who request their co-operation in seeking out the source of a new hard drugs route from the Islands to the UK, Beckford can't refuse Sue, and Thurston just wants another adventure. The undercover team use the yacht for disguise and try to find out just who is running the gear, and how they are managing to evade every search and seizure mission so far. But when you corner a desperate man be careful.... he might fight dirty. Sailing sequences are interspersed with action and seasoned with the banter of the crew to create an enjoyable and gripping read.
