Dismounted

After a career ending gymnastics injury forces her to retire, Iris struggles to adjust to a life without the sport that once defined her. Being unable to return to the gym without painful memories resurfacing, she finds herself lost in the aftermath of losing the future she spent years working toward. When her dancer friend Margot asks Iris to help her learn skills at Iris’s old gym, Iris reluctantly agrees after encouragement from her close friend Roman. But as old emotions begin resurfacing and tensions rise between the girls, Iris is forced to confront the grief, pressure, and identity she’s been trying to outrun. Centred around loss, friendship, and finding yourself after everything changes, the film follows Iris as she searches for a new sense of purpose beyond the sport that once consumed her life.
